Boardmaker 7 Bootcamp
In this series, you will learn how to manage, create and implement activities using Boardmaker 7. After an overview of all the components that make up Boardmaker 7, you will be guided through a detailed exploration of the various components and features that facilitate creative, effective and efficient implementation. With plenty of opportunities built in for "hands-on" application throughout, your learning journey will not only provide you with lots of activities to get started, but you'll be well on your way to becoming an expert creator yourself!
Your Instructor
Leanne Husk has a background as an educator for students who have complex needs and has certification as a Learning Disabilities Specialist. As a lead instructor for Bridges, she provides mentorship to new instructors, designs and leads workshops for educators on the implementation of assistive technology, designs Bridges’ assistive technology tutorials and works directly with students and teachers to help them create and implement dynamic and inclusive learning experiences with technology across the curriculum. Most recently, she has been involved in the training and implementation of Eye Gaze technology and AR/VR experiences to further cultivate these environments. Leanne has offered her expertise in after-school coding programs for young children, where she has experienced the need for scaffolded instruction and adapted materials when introducing coding to normally developing students. Leanne is a team member for the Coding to Learn and Create project, for which she is developing educational resources and supporting educators and students in co-design activities in schools and summer camps.
